An automotive keyless entry device10is provided, including a first cover element12including a tongue element30including a plurality of outwardly projecting locking tabs32positioned along a first cover intermediary perimeter34. A second cover element14includes a groove element62and a plurality of inwardly projecting locking tabs64positioned along a second cover outer perimeter66. The plurality of inwardly projecting locking tabs64engage the plurality of outwardly projecting locking tabs32during assembly. The second cover element14includes an inner seal wall70positioned internally of the groove element62and the plurality of inwardly projecting locking tabs64. An elastomer seal element26includes an alternating plurality of fold-over portions46and plurality of lock-seal portions48. The elastomer seal element26is positioned between the first cover element12and the second cover element14such that the plurality of fold-over portions46surround the tongue element30sealing the tongue element30to the inner seal wall70and the plurality of lock-seal portions48seal the plurality of outwardly projecting locking tabs32to the inner seal wall70. The plurality of lock-seal portions48exert sealing forces on the plurality of outwardly projecting locking tabs32in primarily a lateral engagement direction78.
