ABSTRACT:
The invention is a highly efficient soil and/or water treatment system including its own power source, such as an internal combustion engine, in which heat from all heat sources and heat sinks is exchanged through a mutual heat exchanger circuit. The invention further includes a vacuum pulsation method for the in situ water or soil treatment, in which either or both (a) the pressure of the carrier gas pumped into the injection well and (b) the vacuum on the extraction well oscillate in time. The invention also includes a water treatment unit including a sparging bath with counterflowing sparging gas and a succession of sealed vertical water cells in which water flow is parallel and anti-parallel to the motion of sparging gas bubbles in alternate and remaining cells respectively. Condensation recovery of combustibles includes feedback to the power source for combustion thereof. Contaminated vapors are adsorbed onto a carbon mass and the desorbed vapors are fed back to the power source for combustion thereof or for recycling.
