ABSTRACT:
An optical disk device which has a memory circuit for storing an eccentric displacement for one revolution of an optical disk. The memory circuit receives a signal from an eccentric displacement detector which detects the eccentric displacement of the optical disk on the basis of an optical signal from an optical head. In the recording and reproducing modes, the position of the optical head is controlled to compensate for the eccentric displacement on the basis of the eccentric displacement data stored in the memory circuit.
