ABSTRACT:
A dynamometer for measuring the tension in a pair of spaced, elongated members. The dynamometer includes a spring member having distal ends spaced from a medial portion, and a clamp means by which the distal ends are attachable to the elongated members to cause the elongated members to be moved in a biased manner towards one another. The distal ends of the spring member are therefore sprung apart in proportion to the tension of the elongated members.
A sensor means is connected to sense the change in magnitude of the sprung relationship of the distal ends respective to the medial portion of the spring member. A chart drive unit is mounted respective to the dynamometer for recording the cyclic change in the magnitude of the sprung relationship of the distal ends.
