ABSTRACT:
Solvents useful to dissolve dyes employed in pressure-sensitive copying systems comprise aryl esters of benzoic or substituted benzoic acid having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; R.sub.2 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 to C.sub.9 alkyl; R.sub.3 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; and n is zero or 1.
