ABSTRACT:
In a dye-receiving element for thermal dye transfer, with a substrate, a composite foil and a dye-receiving layer, the composite foil contains a thermoplastic core layer exhibiting micropores and, on the side facing the receiving layer, at least two pore-free thermoplastic surface layers, and the substrate is a paper with a density of .ltoreq.0.8 g/cm.sup.3.
