ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a novel dye-forming coupler, a silver halide color photographic material using the same, and a method for processing the silver halide color photographic material, wherein the dye-forming coupler is a cyan dye-forming coupler represented by formula (I), the silver halide color photographic material comprises the coupler represented by formula (I) in at least one of its photosensitive layers, and the method for processing the silver halide color photographic material comprises a color-developing process using a color developer substantially free from benzyl alcohol. The disclosure described provides a silver halide color photographic material whose color image is fast to light, heat, and humidity and whose color reproduction is excellent. ##STR1## wherein H--Z-- represents an unsubstituted amino group or an aliphatic amino, aromatic amino, or heterocyclic amino group, which may be substituted, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represent an electron-donating group, R.sup.3 represents a substituent, l and m each are 0 or 1, provided that l+m.gtoreq.1, and n is an integer of 0 to 2.
