ABSTRACT:
Dual frequency reception is shown in which a receive signal is obtained that contains a first signal with a first center frequency f1and a second signal with a second center frequency f2. The receive signal is processed to generate an output signal. One or more types of the output signal can be generated. A first type of the output signal is proportional to the sum of the first signal frequency-converted to a third center frequency f3and the second signal frequency-converted to said third center frequency f3. The first and second signals may for instance be positioning signals in a dual frequency satellite-based positioning system.
