DESCRIPTION:
BRIEF SUMMARY
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a device for transforming a rotary movement of a drive element eccentrically arranged about a rotation axis into a linear movement of a slide with assured guidance during the linear movement and fixed end positions, whereby for the linear guidance of the slide the drive element constructed as a guide pulley or the like engages in a guide slot, which it leaves on reaching the slide end position.
Such a device is e.g. shown in DE-OS 34 44 168, where together with the drive element engaging in the guide slot a further drive element rotates about the same center and engages in at least one reception slot when the drive element is disengaged from the guide channel. If the end position is to be assured, then said guide channel must have the same mean radius as the further drive element about the center. Initially the slide constructed as a curved plate is admittedly well held in the end position. However, if the other drive element is more deeply introduced into the reception slot, then there is an increasing deterioration of the securing of the slot in its end position, because the movement direction of the drive element becomes increasingly similar to the movement direction of the slide.
The problem of the present invention is to develop a device of the aforementioned type, in which the slide is secured in precisely defined end positions, but is otherwise freely movable.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
According to the invention this problem is solved in that on the slide or on a rotary arm connected to the slide are provided two rollers or similar stops which, in the slide end positions, in each case slide onto and engage a bar or similar reference edge and while maintaining a spacing, the bars release the rollers during the linear guidance of the slide.
The advantage of the invention is that said rollers can be arranged at random points of the slide or rotary arm and that the position of the bars is completely independent of the slide or rotary arm. The only association necessary between the bars and rollers is that the latter leave the bar associated therewith when the guide pulley enters the guide slot. It is then unimportant as to the extent to which the slide travels over its end position, because the fixing of the end position is taken over by the bars which are independent of the slide or the rotary arm. Preferably the stops are constituted by rollers or runners, but within the scope of the invention it is also possible to use different stops, such as e.g. rail strips, bolts or the like.
In order to ensure a holding of the rollers or stops on the particular bar with each roller should be associated a further stop directed counter to the pressing direction of the roller with respect to the bar. In a simple embodiment this could be constituted by a further roller, rail, etc, which engages the particular roller on the bar. Thus, the bar is received between the two stops. It is for example also possible, if desired, to curve the bar in such a way that the slide follows said curvature in its end position. If for example the slide is used for moving a removal device in and out between two mold halves of a plastic injection molding machine, the consequently removed objects can be set down further away from the machine.
However, if an already reached end position of the slide is to be precisely maintained, then it is sufficient to fix to the slide or to the rotary arm further stop pins or bolts, which meet a fixed stop at the instant at which the particular roller slides onto the bar. In this case, the bar should be straight and run at right angles to the movement direction of the slide. It is advantageous for readjusting certain inaccuracies of fit to construct the stop pins in an adjustable manner.
Obviously, in place of further stops, the bars can be constructed as U-shaped slots, into which slides the particular roller. However, this would lead to a considerable negative friction between the roller and the U-profile, which does not occur in the other, prefe
