A drill for hard materials, comprising webs that are subdivided by means of cutting grooves, and at least one principal cutting edge, each of which is provided with a cutting corner and a transition to a chisel edge. At least some sections of the principal cutting edge are continuously convex in an axial direction starting from the cutting edge.
