ABSTRACT:
Locking elements3dand3jare provided at an inner member3connected to a kelly bar1, and a locking element bearing plate6fis provided at an outer member6. The outer member6includes a cylindrical bucket7and a grab bucket8housed inside the cylindrical bucket7. When an excavating tool2is in its most contracted state, the inner member3is rotated forward to lock the locking elements3dand3jat the locking element bearing plate6f, thereby disallowing relative vertical movement of the inner member3and the outer member6. As the excavating tool is rotated by applying a force to the kelly bar1along the lifting direction in this state, an excavating operation can be executed while applying a load smaller than the load of the excavating tool2.
