ABSTRACT:
There is provided a double-sided sliding thrust bearing of a plate shape adapted to be in sliding contact with a counterpart on each of both faces of the thrust bearing, comprising a bearing structure provided with a plate-shaped base member having an anchor effect on each of both faces thereof, and a sliding layer having a thickness not less than 30 μm on each of the faces of said base member which sliding layer is made of a thermosetting resin-containing material. By making the thickness of the sliding layer10not less than 30 μm, it becomes possible for the thrust bearing1to slide shoes for a longer time even when being used in a dry state and the sliding layer10comes to be hardly peeled off from the base member2because of the anchor effect of the base member2. Further, the mechanical strength and thermal conductivity of the thrust bearing1can be improved by the base member2located between the sliding layers10.
