A multi-brush cage assembly for a subfractional horsepower electric motor has two brushes22, 23received in separate chambers24, 25of the cage and urged by springs26, 27towards a commutator15of the motor. An L-shaped changeover lever30is located on a pivot33between the chambers and keeps one brush23retracted until the other brush22has worn out.
