ABSTRACT:
A diverter valve comprises a body defining a through passage and a perpendicular branch passage. A valve stem extends into the housing at a 45.degree. angle to both passages and carries two spaced and parallel discs at a 45.degree. angle to the valve stem and in respective passages. The valve stem is reciprocally rotatable about its longitudinal axis, rotation in one direction causing one disc to move to an open position while the other moves to a closed position, and vice versa. In the preferred embodiment, the valve body is made up of three disconnectable sections with annular valve seals located between facing ends of the sections.
