ABSTRACT:
A door hinge shim for use with hinge mounted doors to control the spacing beween first and second members that are interconnected by a set of threaded fasteners. The shim plate has slots opening in one of its edges at locations to receive the shanks of the fasteners and a shim installing handle is formed integrally with the shim plate and extends outwardly therefrom to facilitate manipulation of the shim plate during installation. A line of weakness is formed in the handle at its juncture with the shim plate to facilitate breaking of the handle off the shim plate after installation.
