ABSTRACT:
A cosmetic composition for the treatment of the oily appearance of hair and skin so as to reduce or eliminate said oily appearance comprises in a suitable cosmetic vehicle at least one compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is either ##STR2## wherein r' and r" can be hydrogen, 2-hydroxy ethyl, 2-hydroxy propyl or 2,3-dihydroxy propyl, R.sub.2 is ##STR3## wherein R.sub.4 is ##STR4## wherein R.sub.5 is --OH, --OCH.sub.3, --OC.sub.4 H.sub.9 or --OCH.sub.2 COOH and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or methyl, or R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 together form ##STR5## wherein m is 3-5 and n is 2-5.
