A ship having main hull 2 and at least one side hull provided to correspond to the inequality ##EQU1## in which n is the number of hulls, S.sub.i the surface area of the cross section of the side hull at the floatation, d.sub.i the side distance between the longitudinal axis of the hull No. i and the longitudinal axis of the main hull 2, .DELTA. the displacement of the ship, 4 the module of stability and BG the distance between the center of the displacement B and center of gravity G of the ship.
