ABSTRACT:
In a disk drive having a frame unit (63) in which a rear wall (81) is integrally formed with a bottom plate (63a) by press work such as bending, punching or the like, opening portions (53, 55, 57, 59) are inevitably formed as a designing requirement to form fixing members for fixing a circuit board or to prevent contact owing to the retreat of a carriage assembly (67) at the time of punching or press work of the rear wall (81) of the frame unit (63). To provide a disk drive having high reliability by preventing dust from entering into the disk drive from the opening portions (53, 55, 57, 59) and by preventing destruction of data on a disk owing to pressing of dust onto the disk by a recording and reproducing head, rear cover (83) is mounted on the rear wall (81) for closing the opening portions (53, 55, 57, 59).
