ABSTRACT:
A cleaning member is used for cleaning a magnetic disk by rubbing the cleaning member in a sliding manner against the surface of the magnetic disk. The cleaning member is a sheet-like fibrous member having a density of no more than 0.10 g/cm.sup.3 at a load of 4.4 gf/cm.sup.2 ; with the rate of change of the density over a load range of 0.1-4.4 gf/cm.sup.2 being at least 4.times.10.sup.-3 (g/cm.sup.3)/(gf/cm.sup.2).
