ABSTRACT:
The position of an optical pickup with respect to a disk is maintained accurately by preventing the free end portion of a cantilever movable member from being displaced lower than its proper position during the rotation of the disk even if the movable member is heavy to have improved vibration characteristics. There are provided a movable member4, a chassis1, a clamp mechanism3, and a cam mechanism5. The cam mechanism5includes a shift lever51connected to the free end portion of the movable member4via elastic bodies42and a cam main body55. Positioning means8is composed of a protrusion53on the shift lever51, a stepped engaging surface15for supporting the protrusion53thereon, and a guide mechanism71. There is also provided anti-positioning means9for disengaging the protrusion53from the engaging surface15.
