ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a disc drive apparatus capable of preventing skew or wobble from occurring when a spindle motor is attached to a base.The disc drive apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a turntable22which holds an optical disc2; a spindle motor which rotatively drives the turntable22; an optical pick-up20which writes/reads signals on or from the optical disc2; guide shafts42aand42bwhich slidably supports the optical pick-up20in the radial direction of the optical disc2, and a base15to which a spindle motor23and both end portions of each of the guide shafts42aand42b, wherein the spindle motor23is attached to the base15through a spacer member28which performs positioning of the turntable22in the vertical direction thereof relative to the base15.
