ABSTRACT:
A disc facilitates manufacturing of a shutter plate with manufacturing high yields and also facilitates pressing of the shutter plate, as well as ensuring smooth loading and unloading of the disc cartridge in a cartridge operating unit. In the disc cartridge, a slider is provided with projections and holes for engagement and each of the shutter plates is provided with an L-shaped connected portion formed with holes and projections respectively engageable with the projections and holes of the slider, and connection of the slider to the shutter plates for assembling a shutter is accomplished through engagement between the projections and holes of the slider and shutter plates while abutting inner and end surfaces of the slider against horizontal and vertical portions of the stepped connected section of each of the shutter plates.
