ABSTRACT:
The disc cartridge of the present invention includes a cartridge body11, 12, shutters21, 22, disc holding portions and a stopper member23. The cartridge body has a disc window12wand a bottom11uand stores a disc100in a rotatable state with one side exposed through the disc window. A bottom window11c, 11his opened through the bottom so as to get the disc chucked and to allow a head to access it. The shutters21, 22open or shut the bottom window11c, 11h. A rotational member25is supported by the cartridge body11, 12to be rotatable and interlocked with the shutters21, 22so as to open and close the shutters21, 22by rotating. The disc holding portions21d, 22c, 22dinterlock with the shutters21, 22opening or closing to hold or release the disc100. The stopper member23is supported by the cartridge body to take a position protruding into the disc window12wor a non-protruding position. The disc holding portions21d, 22c, 22dinterlock with the stopper member23, and release the disc100when the stopper member23takes the position not protruding into the disc window12w.
