ABSTRACT:
In a disc cartridge for an optical disc and the like, to increase stiffness in an opening for a record and reproduction mechanism. A disc cartridge10has an upper shell12, a center frame14, and a lower shell16clamped to one another. A center frame opening20and a lower shell opening22expose a recording surface of a recording medium contained between the center frame14and the upper shell12downwardly, and a reinforcing member24integrally couples the ends of the center frame opening20,and a lower shell reinforcing member26integrally couples the ends of the lower shell opening22.
