ABSTRACT:
A dirt filter for thermoplastic media has a barrier member within a filter chamber which, in case of an axially symmetrical arrangement with respect to the flow axis, has the basic shape of a double cone. The barrier member defines a barrier gap for the flowing media within the filter chamber. The barrier gap can be widened to a cleaning gap as a result of a displacement of the barrier member. An adjusting member, can be provided which includes an adjusting element, which is mounted in a reception member so as to rotate around its longitudinal axis. The rear end of the adjusting member can be constructed with hexagon wrench faces, which are accessible from the outside of the housing.
