ABSTRACT:
Direct-positive photographic silver halide emulsion which contains a dye having a 5,6-dihydropyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline ring is disclosed. Said emulsion has a high speed, produces high contrast images, has no color stain with any remaining dye after processing and causes only small depression in the maximum density.
