ABSTRACT:
A diphenylsulfone derivative of the formula (I) ##STR1## which is highly safe and used for imparting storage stability to a colored image of thermal or heat sensitive recording material, wherein R.sup.1 represents lower alkenyl or aralkyl optionally substituted with halogen or lower alkyl, and R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or methyl, provided that R.sup.2 represents methyl when R.sup.1 represents unsubstituted benzyl.
