ABSTRACT:
The invention concerns novel 1,3-dioxane hexenoic aids and related carboxytic acid esters and alkanesulphonamides of the formula I in which X is oxy or thio, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, halogeno, trifluoromethyl, cyano or nitro and R.sup.2 is hydrogen, together with their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. The invention also concerns processes for the production of the novel compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds for use in the treatment of various diseases in which thromboxane A.sub.2 (TXA.sub.2) is implicated.
