A compound represented by the formula (I):or a salt thereof exhibits excellent inhibitory activity of lipid peroxidation and is useful as an agent for inhibiting lipoperoxide production, wherein ring A denotes a non-aromatic 5- to 7-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring which may be further substituted, B ring denotes a benzene ring which may be further substituted, C ring denotes a dihydrofuran ring which may be further substituted, and R denotes hydrogen atom or an acyl group.
