A digital audio receiver particularly beneficial to the sight-impaired and controlled by the broadcaster has means for separating and storing audio clips transmitted by the broadcaster to be reproduced either in response to user operations (e.g. “volume up”, “Radio4selected”) or in response to a subsequent broadcast signal identifying a clip to be played.
