ABSTRACT:
A digital filter having the capability to completely prevent the digital filter from generating the overflow oscillation by detecting positive and negative overflow propagating one or a plurality of bits by means of an overflow detecting circuit. When overflow is detected, a clipping circuit serves to fix the output signal to a positive maximum value or a negative maximum value.
