ABSTRACT:
A digital color control method and machine used in a picture reproducing machine, such as a color scanner, a color facsimile, or the like, wherein color separation picture data of primary colors are separated into color component data and a gray component data which is further divided into gray component separation data of primary colors by using memory tables, then the color and the gray components data are color-corrected independently by using memory tables to obtain color-corrected color separation data. Then, the gray component separation data are added to the color-corrected color separation data, thereby obtaining color-controlled color separation recording data for reproducing color separation reproduction pictures.
