The carrier means, when combined with a source of ethanol and introduced in the digestive tract of a human being, permits the gradual time release of ethanol from the dietary vaccine into the digestive tract for absorption into the blood stream of an individual. The method comprises introducing the ethanol charged carrier means in the digestive tract of an individual.
