ABSTRACT:
Dienes of the formula ##SPC1##
Wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, aryl-lower alkyl, aryl-lower alkenyl, or heterocycle and Z is phenyl, substituted phenyl, naphthalene or heterocycle are disclosed. These compounds are useful as intermediates in the preparation of various pharmaceutically active 1,2,3,4,-4a,5,6,7-octahydro-7-aryl-isoquinolines.
