ABSTRACT:
Dibenzazecines of the general formula: ##SPC1##
(wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different, each representing a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, a lower alkoxy group, an aralkoxy group, or a hydroxymethyl group; or when adjacent to and taken together with each other, they can be an alkylenedioxy group; R.sup.3, R.sup.4, and R.sup.5 are the same or different, each representing a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, or a lower alkoxy group, or two of them, when adjacent and bound to each other, they can be an alkylenedioxy group; and R.sup.6 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, and R.sup.6 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aralkyl group or a cycloalkyl group) or acid addition salts thereof, exhibiting CNS depressant actions such as analgesic action, sedative action, and so on; which can be produced from the dibenzoquinolizines.
