ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a novel diaminostilbene series compound, a method for forming an image using the same, and a composition comprising the same. The diaminostilbene compound is represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein L.sup.1 and L.sup.2, which are the same or different, each represent --OR.sup.1 or --N--R.sup.2 (R.sup.3), wherein the four substituents L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 have four or more substituents in total selected from substituents represented by the following formula (II);
