The following 4,4′-bis(1,3,5-triazinylamino)stilbene-2,2′-disulfonic acid derivative is well soluble in water:in which each of R11and R12is hydrogen, or a specifically substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; each of R21and R22is hydrogen, a specifically substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a specifically substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; M is hydrogen, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium, or pyridinium.
