ABSTRACT:
A dial humidity indicator for containers utilizes a shock mounted sensing chanism having an expansible tensioned sorption element, and a pressure-tight, window-type plug to position the indicator in the container wall. The present device, when mounted in the wall of an hermetically sealed shipping container, provides rapid, accurate and continuous readings of relative humidity at the extremes of relative humidity and temperature under severe shock and vibration conditions.
