ABSTRACT:
A diagnostic agent for pancreatic exocrine function comprising an amino acid or a peptide containing at least one13C or14C atom, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof other than Bz-Tyr-13C-PABA is provided. A13C- or14C-labeled compound represented by the following formula (II):in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?X2—R2—Y2—Z1  (II)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?or a salt thereof, wherein X2is a hydrogen atom or a protecting group,R2is a peptide of 2 to 5 amino acids, an amino acid or a single bond,Y2is an amino acid,Z1is an amino acid optionally having a protecting group, andat least one of the amino acids in R2, Y2and Z1, or at least one of the protecting groups in X2and Z1when the protecting groups contain a carbon atom, is13C or14C-labeled.
