ABSTRACT:
Organic materials are stabilized against thermal, oxidative and photo-degradation by incorporating therein an effective amount of a compound of formula I ##STR1## wherein R is tert-butyl, R.sub.1 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is alkyl of 1 to 17 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl, cyclohex-3-enyl, phenyl or 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl; where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together must have a total of at least 5 carbon atoms; or where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together are alkylene of 5 to 11 carbon atoms. Polyolefins, ABS resins, natural and synthetic rubbers and polyesters are particularly well stabilized by the compounds of formula I.
