ABSTRACT:
A vibrating mass consisting of an electrically conductive liquid is capable of alternate motion in two opposite directions within a narrowed section of a leak-tight vessel placed in a medium in which vibrations are to be measured. The speed of motion of the conductive liquid within the narrowed section generates a voltage which is proportional to the frequency and amplitude of the mechanical vibrations.
