ABSTRACT:
A reducer for the quantitative reduction of NO.sub.2 to NO in gas mixtures. The reducer comprises two compartments of which one is filled with a granular preparation consisting of ferrosulphate and an acid alkalisulphate and the second comprises a granular preparation consisting of ferrosulphate and a strong acid. The preparation is preferably provided on the surface of granular inert carrier material, for example pumice.
