ABSTRACT:
A water separation device designed to be free-standing, self-contained and easily mounted to a housing of an air cleaner in an air intake system of an internal combustion engine includes a housing having an air inlet opening, an air outlet opening having an internal bellmouth section which feeds an air intake port of the air cleaner, and defines a circuitous air flow path, including a 180.degree. turn therein, which causes multiple directional changes to air flowing therethrough, with water particles in the air being thrown off during the directional changes by centrifugal force.
