ABSTRACT:
A friction wheel singler for singling bank notes includes a singler roller1with grooves2, and retaining wheels14cooperating with the grooves2. The retaining wheels14have friction areas14aand sliding areas14bsuch that both a sliding area14band a friction area14acooperate with each groove2of the singler roller1. Such a friction singler is particularly suitable for longitudinal singling of narrow bank notes and prevents skewing of the sheet to be singled during the singling process.
