A device for use in the selective movement of a well tool in or through at least a portion of a pipe string. The portion of the pipe string being provided with a plurality of electromagnets which are arranged to produce a magnetic field in order to move the well tool within the portion of the pipe string by means of magnetic influence on the well tool.
