ABSTRACT:
A nozzle pipe has upper and lower guide rings to guide the nozzle down a pot line to the crab pot. A hydraulic pump on the pipe discharges a jet of sea water to wash away drifted sand which anchors the crab pot to the sea bottom. The pump is driven by a hydraulic motor powered by a hydraulic system on a ship whereby the hydraulic motor circuit is not affected by the sea water pressure.
