ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to devices for protecting a needle1for medical use or the like and having a sharp end2and a base end3. The device of the invention is essentially characterized by the fact that it comprises a sleeve10having a bore11on an axis12and of section not less than that of the needle to be protected, a link13of length “L1”, resilient return hinge means19for connecting one end15of the link14to the sleeve10, the link taking up a defined equilibrium position on a direction making an acute angle α with the axis of the bore11, base means21suitable for receiving the end3of the needle1, a crank arm22of length “K1” no greater than the length “L1” of the link, and means28, 30for mounting each of the first and second ends of the crank arm22to pivot freely respectively on the end17of the link13and on the base means21.
