ABSTRACT:
A device for protecting a coating on door of automobile wherein an operating mechanism provided on a base plate at reverse surface side of a door of automobile is operated by shifting a rod contacting a body of the automobile simultaneous with start of opening operation of the door, and a protector is operated by interlocking with the operating mechanism, and a protector guarding the surface of the coating of outer edge portion of the opening door is caused to project and to turn around the surface side of the edge portion of the opening door thereby protecting the coating on the edge portion of the opening door from the impact or contact with the adjacent parked car or tree or wall or fence and the like, and the protector turns around the reverse surface side of the door by interlocking with the door closing operation and is accommodated inside of the door, so that the protector is not visible from the outside of the automobile which makes this specially equipped automobile look like ordinary automobile.
