ABSTRACT:
The chamfering device comprises a frame to be centered and fixed coaxially within the pipe. A tool and its support are mounted concentrically around the frame and are movable along and about the axis in both translation and rotation by drive motors, and its position is detected and fixed before chamfering. The entire operation proceeds automatically without visual control or manual action, so that it can be performed in a radioactive environment.
