ABSTRACT:
A measuring apparatus for measuring the draw-in force of a spindle of a machine tool includes a measuring mechanism and a displacement sensor for measuring displacement in a non-contact manner, without contacting the spindle. The draw-in force is converted into a displacement value. The apparatus may be used to measure the draw-in force of a rotating or a stationary spindle.
